How to choose the correct double sized mattress

Standard double mattress: the first of 3 sizes perfect for couples, a double mattress gives each of you space to sleep comfortably. There are a huge array of bedframes, divans and bases available to fit a double mattress size, allowing you to match comfort with style. The equivalent metric measurements of the traditional 4’6 double are 135cm x 190cm. Great for people of average height, but if you are more than 190 cm tall, more space is likely to equal better sleep. Small double mattress: this useful size may suit 1 person who likes a bit more room, or be a cosy fit for 2 average size people who want to make the most of the space in a narrower bedroom. Sometimes referred to as a ‘4ft mattress’ the small double measures 120cm x 190cm. Where space is at a premium this might just be the right size when teamed with a bed base incorporating storage. For growing teenagers who need a bit more space, this could be a temporary solution before they fly the nest.

Long small double mattress: measuring 120cm x 200 cm, we are pleased to offer this size for people who have a non-standard continental bedframe, or a small double adjustable bed with a single handset. It is important that you measure carefully before ordering to make sure this is the correct size. Long small double mattresses are made to order and take a while to come. We don't want you to be disappointed when it arrives!
