Find your perfect mattress size
Sleep is essential to your health and well-being. The more space you have to sleep in, the better your night’s rest will be. However, many of us often stick to a sleeping space that’s not much bigger (or even smaller) than when we were babies. The width of an average cot is 75cm. Meanwhile, a standard double bed, – one of the most popular mattress sizes in the UK – is 135cm. If you share your bed, that’s just 67.5cm each!
Take a look at our UK mattress size guide to help you make the most of your space – and help you get a better night’s sleep.

UK Mattress Sizes for Adjustable Beds
If you own or are thinking of buying an adjustable bed base, then the mattress or mattresses you need may not be standard UK sizes. Keep in mind that, if going for a double handset - two single mattresses on one frame - both mattresses should be the same height (e.g. 21cm, 25cm or 30cm). As always, it's important to measure up first. Browse all our adjustable bed bases
*Adjustable beds are often longer than the nearest equivalent static model. Make sure you measure properly before you order.
