Spare Pillow Covers
Not only do all TEMPUR® pillows have extended guarantees, many have removable covers too. So to keep the place where you lay your head nice and fresh, unzip the cover for machine laundering at temperatures from 40°C to 60°C depending on the item chosen. While one case is in the wash it's handy to have a spare so you can continue to get a great night's sleep.
Why do TEMPUR®Pillows have removable covers?
Pillow hygiene is very important, especially when used next to your face. All current TEMPUR® Pillows come with a zipped soft fabric cover, removable for machine washable at up to 60°C. By popular request we sell additional spare covers separately. so while one is in the wash you can continue to use your favourite pillow.
What are pillow covers made from?
Soft comfort close to your skin is essential to good sleep. In the main our pillow cases are made from easy care polyester mixed with 1-2% elastane for stretch. This applies to all covers for the moulded TEMPUR SmartCool™ Original Pillows which come in 3 sizes, rectangular TEMPUR® Classic Pillows and the uniquely shaped TEMPUR SmartCool™ Ombracio Pillow designed for abdominal sleepers.
The spare cover for the TEMPUR® Symphony Pillow is different. It includes a high proportion of cotton blended with soft polyester and elastane.
Do you put a pillow case over a pillow cover?
Yes, you do. Also, if you own a pillow protector which fits your pillow shape, you may use one of those too as an extra layer in between your pillow cover and your pillow case. For loose filled TEMPUR® Classic Pillows make sure the final pillow case is not too tight so you can fluff and puff them exactly as you want it to be.
Other things to know...
The removable TEMPUR® Pillow Covers are easy to clean. Just unzip and take out the pillow body and set it to one side. The pillow itself must not get wet.
Detailed care instructions should be on a label stitched inside the cover. Where possible turn the cover inside out and close the zip. Machine wash at up to 60°C, dry, air and iron only as indicated on the label before redressing your pillow and putting on your favourite bed linen.
