What do mattress protectors do?
The answer is exactly what their name suggests. Ultra-thin, the TEMPUR-FIT™ Mattress Protector is a water resistant layer designed to reduce the transfer of excess perspiration and bodily fluids directly on to your sleeping surface.
Resembling a fitted sheet, a mattress protector is the first layer of bed linen used on top of your mattress, usually followed by a sheet which the sleeper ultimately lays on. Removable and machine washable at temperatures of up to 60°C, just like a sheet, you can launder a TEMPUR-FIT™ Mattress Protector to keep your bed clean and fresh
What to look for in a mattress protector?
It is important that your mattress protector fits snuggly over your mattress and does not move around forming uncomfortable creases or ridges beneath the sheet. Make sure you check the depth of your mattress and buy a protector which stretches right across the top and down the sides of your sleeping surface, preferably tucking under the bottom edge. TEMPUR-FIT™ Mattress Protectors fit mattresses up to 30cm deep with the added advantage of an elasticated edge to keep things in place.
Are mattress protectors hygienic?
There are many different protectors on the market which promote health benefits. A TEMPUR-FIT™ Mattress Protector is fully breathable as well as water and dust mite resistant. It is also machine washable and may be tumble dried to ensure you keep your bed clean and safe.
What do pillow protectors do?
Your pillow is a highly personal item. The cleaner you keep it the better you sleep. Like a mattress protector, a pillow protector is an extra layer between the cover of your pillow and your pillow case. Perspiration is something none of us can avoid, and a machine washable pillow protector reduces bodily fluids soaking directly in to your pillow causing unpleasant odours and stains.

TEMPUR-FIT™ Mattress Protectors are available in white, in 5 sizes to fit standard sized mattresses, including small singles, singles/long singles, double, king sizes and super kings. They are machine washable up to 60 °C, may be tumble dried and come with a 3 year manufacturer’s quality guarantee.
Pillow protectors from TEMPUR® are also available in white and will fit rectangular pillows measuring 74cm x 50cm including TEMPUR® Classic Pillows such as the TEMPUR® Comfort Pillow Original, TEMPUR®Comfort Pillow Cloud and TEMPUR® Traditional Pillow.
