How to choose the right divan bed base
Most people, when they are considering buy a new divan base, think their choice is limited to something that looks like a box upholstered in a soft fabric, usually on castors, sometimes on small legs or bun feet. But this most basic version of a bed base has far more to offer than first meets the eye.
Storage Options: Just because you cannot see your divan bed base for your bedding does not mean to say it's not useful in other ways besides supporting your mattress. Why not upgrade from a standard divan to one with practical underbed storage drawers? Our single bed bases come with 2 drawers, while standard doubles, kings and super kings have 4 drawers. If you have bed side cabinets do not worry, opt for a 1+1 or 2+2 continental drawer configuration. These options come with a smaller half drawer at the head end so you don't have to move the furniture out to retrieve those extra bed linens you have stowed away.
Support Options: TEMPUR® traditional divan bases are designed with sturdy platform tops to optimise support for TEMPUR® mattresses. For those wanting an extra touch of luxury we have slatted top divan bases too. But these beds are more than just divan bases with or without storage drawers, they have electric motors and massage units too, forming part of our adjustable bed range for the ultimate great night's sleep. All TEMPUR® divan bed bases are upholstered in a range of classic plain or contemporary styled fabrics specially selected to blend in with most decor schemes.

All TEMPUR® divan bases come with fittings for either uk strut style headboards or continental floor standing headboards with slots. Headboards are not included in the prices shown, they are optional extras. You can match your divan bed base to a co-ordinating flush fitting headboards for that final finishing touch, or go wild and choose something totally different - the final decision is yours.
