In terms of area, a standard single divan bed measures 90 x 190 cm, the same size as the corresponding mattress. For those who prefer imperial sizes it may be referred to as a ‘3ft single’. Headboards generally are optional extras. But if you are buying a frame or ottoman with an integral decorative head or foot, it is likely to be larger than your mattress. Ensure you measure correctly before you place your order. There is also a second single size. Occasionally referred to as 3’0 Europeans, long single bed bases support mattresses which measure 90 x 200 cm. They are 10 cm longer than a standard UK single size.
